Anti-Oppression Circle

November 24 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

£5.00

Social Farms & Gardens are excited to link up with the Anti-Oppression Circle to put on a workshop unpacking the intersection of environmentalism and social justice and seeking to embed anti-racism in environmental work.

The Anti-Oppression Circle will facilitate a space generating actionable outcomes through a process of active listening, sharing and reflecting. The workshop will be split into a listening session hearing different perspectives, and a discussion session oriented to co-creating actions to take into our work.

The Anti-Oppression Circle holds space compassionately, inviting all participants to delve into their experience and that of others. It is a space intended to help participants remain open to the feelings and emotions that accompany discussions of oppression, working through them to actionable strategies.

The session will be funded through the London Legacy Development Corporation, meaning that priority will be given to participants who live within walking distance of the Olympic Park. However, participants from across London and beyond are welcome to register their interest. We hope to accommodate as diverse a range of perspectives as possible.

Lunch is included. Childcare can be covered.

Cost: We ask for a contribution of £5 to help fund our work. We don’t exclude on the basis of cost. Please email amber@Farmgarden.org.uk if needed. People that live in Newham, Hackney, Tower Hamlets or Waltham Forest will receive a a full refund given on attendance. If you live in these boroughs and need childcare so that you can attend, email Amber@FarmGarden.org.uk.

Any questions please contact Amber on 0776 1920 776 or by email.
